A new chapter for a vital mission
For the Dutch Digestive Health Foundation (known as MDL Fonds in the Netherlands), it was time to take the next step in its evolution as the voice of over 4 million people in the Netherlands living with digestive disorders.
Together we set out to find the right balance: translating complex scientific knowledge into a clear and human brand story that resonates widely. Like other leading health institutes, the foundation faces rising expectations for digital experiences, the need to rebuild trust in healthcare organizations and the constant challenge of mobilizing funds and donors.
By approaching these challenges as opportunities, the foundation strengthens its voice, sharpens its positioning and scales its mission for even greater impact.

To support the next step in its evolution, the Dutch Digestive Health Fund needs clarity and cohesion at the heart of its brand. Through our Signal to Scale framework, we uncover a gap between the promise of the foundation and how it is experienced by people inside and outside the organization.
Together we build a new brand compass and identity system that aligns story, design and experience. It gives the foundation a clear and unifying narrative and a visual language that makes even the most complex or sensitive health topics easier to share.

To activate the new strategy, we translate the Dutch Digestive Health Fund brand into a sharp digital experience that embodies its narrative. At its core lies a fully restructured UX/UI system built on scalable component-based design, balancing consistency with flexibility so the foundation can grow without losing integrity.
The narrative drives the experience: accessibility and clarity reflect the mission to serve millions, while storytelling elements make complex science approachable and human. The Impact Monitor turns data into stories, showing the tangible difference research and donations make.
Together, these elements transform the brand story into an experience people can feel. The renewed digital platform powers both education and fundraising, while delivering a customer journey that builds trust and inspires engagement.

To help the Dutch Digestive Health Fund engage its audiences more effectively, we translate brand strategy into communication assets that serve both short-term activation and long-term growth.
The newsletter provides a consistent and scalable channel that reinforces recognition and deepens relationships with supporters and partners. For the inheritance campaign, we design a dedicated magazine page that combines heartfelt storytelling with clear calls to action, inviting readers to consider the lasting impact of legacy giving.
