We’re living in the age of the customer. Brands relentlessly strive to deliver the best customer experience (CX) and are enthusiastically undertaking a variety of CX initiatives. Even so, most of today’s brands struggle to offer memorable experiences that truly differentiate them from their competitors. 

It’s easy to see why. Digital sameness has taken hold and the slow death of creativity is increasingly challenging for customers to distinguish one brand from another. You’re probably wondering what I mean by that. Let me demonstrate. Grab your phone and go to two of your food delivery apps, followed by a browse on the sites of three major banks in your city and four beauty retailers. It’s not difficult to notice how similar they are. The same applies to booking flights or a hotel room. 

As Forrester describes, “Every brand offers the same digital experience because they all address the same customer needs, use the same technology platforms, and design for the same mobile use case.”

Without creativity, brands end up creating vanilla experiences that are devoid of any unique bells and whistles. It’s no surprise that CX has become stagnant over the years.

Bringing the State of European Tech 2022 to life with Atomico

Atomico's website demonstrates mastery in website differentiation. As the leading European venture capitalist firm, Atomico launches an annual report known as the State of European Tech (SoET), providing valuable insights into the European tech ecosystem. For the SoET 2022 launch, Atomico partnered with us to design the report and create a remarkable website dedicated to this flagship event. 

With the challenge of consolidating over 400 pages of insights, data sets, and charts into an appealing and user-friendly experience, the emphasis was on balancing legibility and aesthetics, ensuring that the information presented was easily digestible.

We tackled this by introducing visual representations of data in the form of expanding blobs that grow larger to symbolize ever-evolving data. The animated blobs float around the homepage and website lobby, adding an engaging and interactive element to the overall experience.

To blur the lines between print and digital design, we developed innovative features for a truly exceptional reading experience. The website incorporates book-like navigation, categorizing content into chapters and specific topics. Reading tracks offer a summary of information based on readers' available time. 

Through a strategic approach that prioritizes user experience, a harmonious blend of design elements, and innovative features, Atomico's website for the SoET launch has achieved unparalleled differentiation.

Empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals with YouChooz

YouChooz is a Dutch non-profit organization on a mission to educate and encourage students who want to pursue careers in the healthcare, well-being, and sports industries. We joined forces to strengthen their CX. First things first, we adopted a comprehensive approach to rebrand YouChooz and solidify their brand identity.

To align YouChooz’s rebranding with their digital presence, we conducted a thorough website assessment which revealed significant challenges with speed and navigation, prompting a strategic approach to build a visually captivating website with a restructured layout.


YouChooz’s digital transformation journey went far beyond a simple redesign. By leveraging mood boards and focus groups, the creative process ensured that the website resonates deeply with their target audience.
