How do you celebrate 400 years of character in beerbrewing? By sharing what it’s all about: a great beer and lots of good stories of yesteryear. A project commissioned by MEC.

Past, present & future.

To create the new Grolsch website, focus was laid on telling the Breweries’ past, present and future. This lead to a design that combines the rich Grolsch past with a simple, ‘mobile first’ interface.

Beers, beers, beers.

At Grolsch it’s all about their beers. We gave them a place to shine and tell their story, ingredients and even which food best accompanies your Grolsch.

Rich history.

Over 400 years a lot of memorable moments are created. All of these moments are collected in one huge timeline. Starting from 1615 it showcases how Grolsch became the legendary brewery they are at present.

Crafting animations.

When a brand has been crafting their product for 400 years, you better come up with a website to match. To give a rich feel, the interface exists out of multiple ‘ingredients’ stacked on top of each other and animating separately. We made dozens of animations for one simple button to find the perfect brew.
